I Feel It In My Skin, Warming Up My Mind

Yesterday was such a beautiful sunny day!  Although Sam and I are super busy getting the house ready for Baby Girl, it's days like these that make us excited to spoil our pups as much as possible!  We all woke up to sunshine and the dogs just couldn't wait to get outside to play.  Grandma was here for the morning where we spent time in the backyard.  Oliver spent his morning running through the flowers (currently dandelions, Sam is ACTIVELY working on landscaping our yard.  When we bought the house the weeds were over our heads, now they are just at Oliver's ankles... still not great, but it's progress).  Oliver would run through said flowers to stir up the bees and little bugs to attack.  Duncan spent his morning playing catch with his baseball and tennis ball (thrown by Grandma, Mom, and Dad.)

After Grandma left, we decided to give the dogs baths.  Since the weather was nice we decided to pull out the hose, which as you know, the dogs absolutely LOVE!!! We decided it would be better to wash them in the driveway since the grass would just get extremely muddy, defeating the purpose of the bath.

After the bath, Duncan spent some time rolling around on a towel drying himself off.  It's very very cute to watch!

While Duncan was busy drying himself off, Sam and I realized that 3 of Oliver's feet were bleeding.  Why?  Well, he was so busy jumping and running around on the concrete for the water from the hose, his nails naturally filed themselves.  Leaving most of his quick exposed and worn.  Poor Oliver spent an hour in my lap drying off in the sun, getting his feet taken care of.  The only way we could keep his feet from bleeding all over the house, was of course, wrap them up.

He was no happy about having his feet wrapped up.

Once he figured out that he could still walk, he flapped around like a duck, thumping his back feet on the ground each step.

Of course we had to put a cone around his neck for him to leave his feet alone.  He waddled around and thumped his feet on the ground.

Sam made a wonderful Looney Tunes reference, the episode where Bugs Bunny draws specific features on Daffy Duck... A flower around his head :)

He wasn't too miserable and even spent more time lying in the sun outside.  Not to worry... He is doing much better today and doesn't have the cone or the wraps on his feet.

Days like this make me realize that we are going to have our hands full very soon with Baby Girl, but these silly pups still need our love and attention too.  Dog Dog spoils will happen in full effect until Baby Girl joins us.  Then, we will have to find a balance for our 3 kids :)

First Entry, Life Update

Our life has been so busy lately getting ready for Baby Girl Crowson (who's name is still a secret and neither Sam or I have slipped).  So here I am to keep you all up to date with everything going on in our life!  We have had many appointments over the past 35 weeks and 4 days.  Let me catch you all up just in case you haven't seen these pictures yet.
Our first ultrasound 7 weeks 1 day

Our second ultrasound 11 weeks.  A this point we had no idea whether we were having a boy or a girl.  But little baby Crowson was starting to look more like a baby at this point.

12 weeks pregnant.  12 weeks is the typical safe zone, at which point we shared the pregnancy news with as many people as possible.  It was difficult to keep this secret for so long!

16 weeks 5 days.  Getting closer and closer to Christmas!  This time next year, that tree will be filled with presents for Baby Girl, not Sam and Whit :)

19 weeks 6 days.  Healthy little baby, but we still weren't sure if we were having a boy or girl yet.

20 weeks 1 day.

20 weeks 1 day, IT'S A GIRL!!!

23 weeks

25 weeks 1 day.  Since this picture, Sam has clicked the picture and said, "WOW you look so pregnant!"  This quote getting louder and more wide-eyed as the weeks go on.

30 weeks

32 weeks

And finally the most recent picture... 35 weeks!

We have 4 weeks, 3 days until Baby Girl's due date of May 25th.  There have been no signs of labor so far, and I'm not even sure if I've experienced Braxton Hicks Contractions yet.  There have been a few times where I thought, "maybe that was a Braxton Hick?"

The nursery is coming along and I'm very ready to add the final touch (Baby Girl).  Here are a few pictures of the nursery.
